Welcome

The BTown Disc Golf Club is working with Burlington Parks & Rec., the Burlington community, and local businesses to design and install an 18-hole disc golf course at Leddy Park. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, with the mission of creating a multi-use, all-season, active recreational area in the woods at Leddy Park. The course and accompanying trail system will be home to disc golfers, snowshoers, hikers, cross-country skiers, dog walkers, and those who just love the woods.

Why Leddy Park?

Leddy Park, on Burlington's waterfront bikepath, is a city treasure with multiple recreational uses. With two softball fields, one baseball field, one soccer field, four tennis courts, an ice rink, lakeside beach, 8 picnic areas with firepit grills, a bike path, 2.5 miles of walking trails, and two parking lots totaling room for over 200 cars, Leddy Park is Burlington’s ideal location for family recreation. The woods in Leddy Park - currently not being used for any other active recreational activity - offer enough space for an 18-hole disc golf course with plenty of room to spare for non-disc golf park users.

Question of the day: “What’s the big deal?”

April 29, 2009

From this week’s Seven Days:

Is it a loud game?
Quite the opposite. On the day our reporter played the Johnson course, Bagdon estimates course traffic was “average to below average.” But even more crowded sections of the course were no louder than an average walking trail (or, perhaps, a golf course). Chances are, most games are much quieter than Tuesday’s public hearing on the subject.
