Mission Statement
We will develop a course that amplifies the natural beauty of this multi-recreational park. We wish to increase the health of the forest areas our course touches as well as create additional nature paths for recreational use. Our goal is to make the completed course as “invisible” to the average non-golfing park user as possible. To accomplish this goal, the development of the course will follow a few specific guidelines listed below.
- All hole baskets and fairways remain at least 25 feet from all buildings, roads, recreational areas, and bike trails.
- Course edges will remain tree-lined with limited to no brush clearing: This will decrease the visibility of the course to non-course park users.
- Fairways will never cross bike path, roads or recreation areas.
- Wherever possible, brush clearing and new tree planting or landscaping will be done to increase the health of the forest.
- Fairways will be created through judicious clearing practices, limiting most cutting to brush and small trees.
